Many students have neglected to respond to this blog posting (originally posted 12/4/08). Therefore, I am posting it again in the hopes that you will answer it. If you already did this you do not have to do it again.
My question for the week is; How is Earth Science (Geology) in the news? Do a little searching around and report back on the blog. You can use what you find in newspapers, magazines, television, or the internet. Just read, watch, or listen to a report that has to do with Earth Science and post a comment about it.

Weather is earth science because sometimes on the news they talk about earth quakes. For example- On January 17,2009 they were talking about the impact of an earthquake in smaller states would be bigger than in larger ones.
Earth Quakes are in the news.Most earth quakes are caused by when the earths plates move they slide going over one another, one sinking like and one staying or on that rises and the other one stay the same.The size of the plates and how much they move impacts or lowers the size of the earth quake.
Earthquakes are on the news because plates rub together and cause things to shake and that causes an earthhquake and they like to talk about that on the news

hello m,r honer i didnt know really where to leave this comment so i choose any one but anyways, im here to say hi to every body my new school is amazing!!! my science teacher is cool today we burned wax and wAtched it frezze again it was cool my science teachers name is mr. nalley ands he is extremely nice and funny so every thbing here is fine tell every boidy hi for me expecially miss bowens. holla!
